Swimming
For more than 120 years people have been coming to soak in the soothing waters of the valley’s hot mineral springs. Beginning with Edward Drake funneling the 135 degree water through a hollow log into a “tub” of creek water to variations of a pool started by the Sifford Family in 1902, the therapeutic waters of Drakesbad (Drake’s Bath) have been offering enjoyment to generations of families.
Though the look of the “pool” has changed over the years, the same effect is on-going: during the day the temperature is cooled to a comfortable level for typical pool activities and at night we heat the water up to create a giant hot tub!
Soaking in the relaxing water while looking at the breathtaking stars will be an experience you will never forget!
